Nash News: Nash is so smiley, and for the most part, he is a mellow baby. He has been sleeping through the night since he was 9 weeks old. That was a huge relief for us! The Baby Wise plan paid off! Typically he falls asleep around 9pm and wakes up around 6am-7am. About 2 weeks before his 4 month birthday, he started rolling over. First he rolled from his belly to his back and the following day, he rolled from his back to his belly. I was so excited and proud, you would have thought he won the Heisman Trophy! The one downfall is that he sleeps on his belly now. As soon as we put him in his crib, he rolls over. I am scared of SIDS, but there is nothing we can do about it at this point. Even if we swaddle him with his arms tucked in, he rolls over! Currently he is working on scooting across the floor on his belly. He is so dedicated and such a hard little worker! At his 4-month doctor appointment, he ranked in the 85th percentile in height and the 21st percentile in weight. Because he has been sleeping 9-12 hours per night since he was 9 weeks old and 6 hours before that, his doctor thinks he will catch up in the weight category in the next 6 months. When he was born, both of his tear ducts were closed, and it caused his eyes to water. This is pretty common with newborns, but most babies' tear ducts open in the first month. His left tear duct is still closed, and it gets red/puffy and is constantly watering. Sometimes when he wakes up, his little eye is sealed shut. If the tear duct does not open by his 9-month birthday, he will have to visit an optometrist to have it opened. For his 4-month birthday, we started feeding him rice cereal. The first few times he hated it, but he loves it now. He has graduated to oatmeal and will try barley cereal next week. After the barley cereal, we will get him started on veggies and fruits! He started teething, so he has been a bit fussy these days. He loves chewing on things, and he wants to put everything into his mouth. Below is a list of some of his favorite things.

Seth & Nicole News: I started working again in the third week in February. It has been nice to get back into the swing of things and feel a sense of normalcy again. Seth takes care of Nash on the days that he is home and a babysitter comes to our house on the days that we are both working. We are going to put Nash into daycare soon. I am excited for him to start his social life with other babies and kids! My 30th birthday was in March, and Seth surprised me with a surprise party at a Mexican restaurant in Denver. My mom and 2 best friends, Andrea and Jennifer, flew in and surprised me! It was such a great weekend! Seth has been spending a lot of time in our tiny yard. Our grass is the greenest grass on the block! He also planted 2 Aspen trees in our backyard. I can't wait for them to start growing We are hoping to take a mini vacation soon- maybe Vegas? It's a matter of finding time on our calendars and that never seems to work. At the beginning of next year, we plan to do a much needed tropical vacation. I need to lie on a white sandy beach with a fruity drink in my hand!
That's all for now, folks. Hopefully, I will be able to keep up with this blog on a more regular basis!
Love,
The Nultons
